DIY herbruikbare wattenschijfjes van gerecycleerd materiaal/reusable facial cleansing wipes made of recycled material

Ik plan 1 dezer een nieuwe collectie herbruikbare wattenschijfjes te naaien en ineens realiseerde ik me dat ik nog altijd geen blogartikel had gemaakt met het fotomateriaal van mijn eerste zelfgemaakte portie schijfjes. Bij deze wordt het hoog tijd dat ik dat eens doe ;) .

I am planning to make a new batch of reusable facial cleansing wipes and suddenly I realized I still haven't written a blog post about the first time I made them. I had the necessary pictures in my stock, so here it is: 

Ondertussen al efkens geleden bracht mijn lief wat vintage kledingstukken mee van zijn moeder omdat hij dacht dat ik de stofjes wel mooi vond. En hij had gelijk. Helaas waren de kledingstukken in kwestie niet meer draagbaar, dus gebruikte ik een deel om mondmaskers mee te maken en dit badstoffen/sponzen stofje leek me heel geschikt voor wattenschijfjes. 

A while ago my partner gave me some vintage clothes that belonged to his mother. He thought I liked the fabric and he was right. But the clothes were not in a state that I could wear them, so I used some of the fabric to make face masks and this one seemed a good one to use for making facial cleansing wipes.

Benodigdheden/supplies

• Stof, geschikt om mee over je huid te wrijven. Ik denk dat zwaar synthetisch spul daar niet zo geschikt voor is, maar katoen of flanel of badstof wel. Het is uiteraard het fijnst als je stof kan recupereren van oude kledingstukken / Fabric, suitable to wipe your face with. Synthetic fabric is probably not a good choice. Cotton, flannel or terry cloth is a better choice. Preferably you use fabric from old clothes.
• stikgaren/sewing thread
• iets rond dat als mal kan dienen/something round that can be used als a mold.
• schaar/scissors
• iets om mee op stof te tekenen/something to write on fabric
• naaimachine (maar het kan ook met de hand)/sewing machine (but you can also stitch them by hand)

ZO MAAK JE HET/DIY

• Gebruik de mal om cirkels op de stof te tekenen. Je hebt er per schijfje 2 nodig./Use the mold to draw some circles onto the fabric. You need 2 circles for 1 wipe.
• Knip ze uit./ cut with scissors.

• Zet de naaimachine op een grote zigzagsteek./Choose the zigzag stitch onto your sewing machine.
• Neem 2 cirkels van stof en leg ze met de achterkanten op mekaar./Take 2 fabric circles and put them together, back side facing each other.
• Stik rondom rond een keer of 3 met zigzag de 2 delen op mekaar. / Stitch them together with the zigzag stitch, go around 3 times. 
• Hecht af en klaar! /Cut loose ends
