DIY - oorbellen/earrings: 'zoete dromen'

Soms passen onderdelen gewoon logisch bij mekaar. Veel werk moet ik er dan niet in steken om een ontwerp uit te denken. Dat was ook zo bij dit paar oorbellen. 
Ik vind ze geslaagd, maar toch denk ik niet dat ik ze zelf ga dragen. Ze zijn te zeemzoeterig of zo. Soms maak ik dus iets dat op zijn eigen wel klopt, maar waar ik niet wild van word. Vind jij ze wel tof? Laat het me gerust weten!

Sometimes pieces just seem to fit together naturally. In those moments I hardly have to think about a design at all. That was exactly the case with this pair of earrings.
I do think they turned out nicely, but I’m not sure I’ll wear them myself. They feel a little too sweet for my taste. Every now and then I make something that works perfectly on its own, yet doesn’t completely feel like me.

BENODIGDHEDEN/SUPPLIES

materiaal/material

• 2 x 1 emaillen tussenstuk met 7 gaatjes onderaan/enameled connector with 7 holes at the bottom
• 2 x 3 emaillen blaadjes/enameled leaves
• 2 x 4 kleine paarse facetkraaljes/small purple faceted beads
• 2 x 4 kleine roze facetkraaljes/small pink faceted beads
• 2 x 4 kleine nietstiften/small head pins
• 2 x 3 open ringetjes/jump rings
• oorhaakjes/ear wire

gereedschap/tools

• 2 platbektangen/flat nose pliers
• rondbektang/round nose pliers
• kniptang/cutting pliers

ZO MAAK JE HET/DIY

Maak alvast 4 hangertjes met de facetkraaltjes. Rijg er telkens 2 aan en maak een open oogje.

Start with maken 4 pendants with the faceted beads. String on of each colour onto a head pin and make an open loop.

Bevestig de 3 blaadjes met een open ringetje aan de connector. Eentje in het midden en de andere 2 aan de zijkanten.

Attach the three leaves with a jump ring onto the connector. 1 in the middle and the other two at the sides

Bevestig de kralenhangertjes aan de andere gaatjes.

Attach the bead pendants ont the other holes of the connector.

Nog een oorhaakje en oorbel 1 is klaar.

Attach ear wire and earring 1 is done.

Maak er nog eentje en straal!

Make another one and shine!
